Bio: I was raised in a Christian home, actually a home where my father was a pastor. I grew up in the church and was involved in the music ministry at an early age. I felt the Lord calling me into the music ministry in 1976. I graduated from Stetson University, Deland, Florida, with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1980 and received a Master Of Church Music from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, in 1982. I have served churches as a Minister of Music/Senior Adults in Texas and Florida. I married my wife, Lawana, in 1972. We are really enjoying serving the Lord through Christ Independent Methodist Church. We began our ministry at CIMC in 2010. We look forward to what the Lord has in store for us and our church in the future.
Bio: I was born in Grand Forks, ND and was raised in East Grand Forks, MN. I had never even been to Florida before I moved to Palatka from Gilby, ND with my husband Bruce in February, 2016. Invited by our Realtor to CIMC, I went to my first Women's Spiritual Life Retreat just 2 weeks after moving here. We then started attending Sunday services in March, and have been coming ever since. I took a job in St. Augustine similar to the one I had in ND, not knowing that the Lord would have other plans for me. In the meantime, I became a Christian, fell in love with the people of CIMC and even got Baptized. Praying that a door might open somewhere within the Church for me, the Lord answered that prayer and as of June of 2017, blessed me with the Financial Secretary position. I am loving the Florida life and am excited to see what the future holds for us here. And even though a finger point on a map is what brought us to Palatka, we are certain that we were meant to be here and we are "Home Sweet Home" for sure.
